Context: Supreme Court Collegium recommended Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal (Chhattisgarh HC) as the next Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.

  • Collegium is headed by CJI Surya Kant and recommends appointments/transfers of High Court judges and Chief Justices.
  • Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal: Chhattisgarh HC judge → Rajasthan HC Chief Justice; his immediate transfer to Rajasthan HC was separately recommended pending appointment.
